Premonitions

I had a dream sometime recently. I'm not really sure when, but I'm guessing it was about a month ago. I must have been subconsciously thinking about coming home and camping, because I remember in the dream centering around travel down the I-70 corridor.

In the middle of the dream I spent quite a bit of time at these two slanted overpasses over a big left curve of the highway around the hogback.  They led off to Vail or Grand Junction or something random, but they were probably about an hour up the valley from home.

The crazy part is...

Those bridges really exist in real life as I pictured them in the dream, and I've never seen them before.

Because they're brand new. Not even open to traffic yet.  In fact, they're bridges to nowhere.

And they're not an hour from Denver, they're 8. In Durango.

They didn't really seem that significant when we passed under them on the way to the reunion two days ago, but today I found it really interesting that they were in sight distance of the hospital where my grandmother is staying. A proverbial gateway to seeing her.

I don't really know why or how or what this means, I just know that it's monstrously intriguing to me. The simple fact of having seen these images in my dreams and them coming to life.

That's remarkable. Maybe tonight I'll dream about a billion dollars.
